Romantic Southern Wedding Inspiration

I get asked every so often about styled shoots, and why we, as wedding professionals, seem to do them so often. Why in the world would you put so much effort into a ‘fake’ event? Do you do that for free? Does everyone involved do it for free? The answers are simple. We put together these shoots to showcase our work. When we are working with a bride and groom, often time we are executing their vision, which is what makes us great vendors. Shoots allow us a little more creative freedom, it’s sort of like planning your own wedding in a way! And no, we by no means do this for free. Money is not always exchanged, but we are all collectively using our goods and services and bartering with one another. Putting together a beautiful ‘event’ with your favorite wedding pros, and acquiring professional photos at the end of the day, is more than worth it for most vendors. That’s not to say we never get paid in American dollars either! Often times I am hired by a magazine or company who wants to promote their brand and put together a shoot just for them. So yes, we get paid. No, it’s not always in the traditional sense.

Today I’m sharing one of my favorite shoots designed by Elyse of Tying The Knot Wedding Coordination. She approached us a long time ago to supply rentals for this beautiful day and we were more than thrilled to see what she had come up with. Alongside Bee’s Weddings and Events, and Greer G Photography, this day turned out to be amazing. For a full list of vendors see the feature on Style Me Pretty!
