Jewel Tones and Toile at the Beauregard Keyes House

Somehow every time I get the pleasure of working with Marissa Lambert, magic happens. It’s a combination of her ingenious poses and photographic direction, and my endless need to create soft, feminine, elegant events. I approach each event with (strangely enough) Coco Chanel on my mind. Like WWCD, What Would CoCo Do? I know it’s odd for an event designer to idolize a fashion designer, but she truly is the epitome of elegance. Her sacred words of “before you leave the house, take one thing off” ring true in my head as I’m setting the scene and creating vignettes. Over styling is a problem, especially for me as I want to get so many lovely things into each shot. But I’ve learned over the years that less truly is more, and so I will forever follow CoCo’s lead.

I hope you enjoy this shoot as much as I do! This real life couple (I know, I can’t believe it either)  was so lovely to work with, and put up with a FULL day of the The Thee P’s: primping, prodding, and posing. A huge thanks to them and all the vendors involved: Bee’s Weddings, Melissa’s Fine Pastries, Ebb & Flow Ink, Hair By Ginger, The Beauregard Keyes House, Melissa Vaccaro Makeup, and I Do Bridal Couture.
