I was recently turned on to Rent The Runway by a friend who had to attend a very formal wedding, but didn’t want to spend $500 on a dress she would probably wear once. Well that sounds reasonable, I thought. I had her give me a full report on the process, the quality of dress and the ease of ordering before I committed to my first RTR gown. She gave it a glowing review, loved her dress and said is was a super simple ordering process. They even send you two sizes of each dress to maximize your chances of the right fit.
I ordered my first dress for our Mrs. Vintage and Homestead grand opening party, and I was SO thrilled with the entire process, start to finish. The customer service was top notch, and because I singed up for the Pro account, I got free shipping, plus a free dress on my birthday! And let me just state for the record, they aren’t paying for this post, I REALLY really just love them!
I just noticed that they are now renting wedding gowns and accessories! They are mostly short, little white reception dresses, but there are a few full length gowns, and for $30 – $150 the price is certainly right! They also have the most beautiful bridal jewelry and veils. So my question to you is this: would you ‘Rent The Wedding Runway’? Would you rent a piece of jewelry or wedding gown for your big day? You know I’m already a huge fan of wedding day rentals, but I’d love to hear your thoughts!
This Badgley Mischka bridal belt rents for $50. I mean really, when are you going to wear a bridal belt again?
And finally, my RTR dress (I used it for our Christmas card photoshoot too!). I got SO many compliments on this gorgeous dress, I’m so happy I went with it! Photo by Catherine Guidry.
So there you have it, my favorite picks. Leave a comment below and let me know what you think about renting your wedding day attire and accessories! I’d love to know your opinion! ~Julia xox
