I can’t believe I actually just typed that blog title. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that my VERY FIRST (ever in my whole life!) styled event would be published to a national blog. And not just any blog, MARTHA STEWART WEDDINGS! I’ve been dropping hints all week, talking about the wedding brunch trend, I got a new settee and named it Martha, but now that the cat is finally out of the bag, I can share all the lovely details.
The bridal shower brunch was held at the Irish Cultural Museum, a small venue nestled in the heart of the French Quarter. We played up the French theme with ‘merci’ favors and other paper goods designed by Tricia of P.S. Creative. The gorgeous flowers were the work of NOLA FLORA, including one amazing photobooth backdrop dripping in roses. New Orleans Catering took great care in preparing the finest brunch foods and beverages, including (of course!) a mimosa bar. The dress the bride wore was southern designer Camilynn Beth, sold at my favorite NOLA boutique Hattie Sparks. The personalized individually wrapped Leah’s Praline favors were so cute I could hardly stand it! Styling, design and vintage rentals courtesy of yours truly. The only reason why I am able to share this amazing event is because it was photographed by the extremely talented Greer G. Thank you to all the vendors who made this incredible day a reality!
So now that I’ve been keeping this whole Martha business a secret for what feels like a lifetime, I’m am SO ready to share with you some photos from the day. Here are just a few. Hop on over to Martha Stewart Weddings to see the details! ~Julia xox
NOLA FLORA decked out our Antique Ceiling Tin Screen in florals, and we used it as a photobooth backdrop.

I’ve never met a photobooth I didn’t want to try out. Here Tricia and I are posing with a few of the fun props!
