Do you want to be a part of a woman owned & operated NOLA start-up!? Creative and passionate people please apply! The time has come to bring on a very talented individual to the Mrs. Vintage team! I am so excited with the growth we’ve experienced in our first year, and bringing vintage weddings to life has been more rewarding than I could have ever imagined. I’m even more excited to announce that we are actively seeking an amazing, thoughtful, detail oriented, drama-free, hard working (it ain’t all pretty sofas and vintage shopping!), intelligent gal or gent who loves weddings & events and is willing to go the extra mile to make sure every single one of our vintage brides is well taken care of!

This is a part time, as-needed, assistant position, mostly weekends in the spring, with the possibility of full time as things start to get busier and busier.

Job Description:

~Must be willing and able to move furniture on occasion. We do have professional movers on staff for weddings and events, but sometimes I have to roll up my sleeves and move a sofa to a new spot, and you have to be able to do that.

~Weekends are a must. That’s when our lovely weddings take place!

~In addition to vintage rentals, Mrs. Vintage offers styling and design. My design assistant would be responsible for prepping inventory for weddings as well as assisting in the style and design on wedding days.

~Weekday responsibilities would include running errands to get things together for photoshoots, weddings, editorial fashion shoots, and any errands relating to the upkeep of our vintage furniture. Sometimes it’s a trip to Lowe’s for some porcelain glue, other times it’s to my favorite thrift store to get some vintage goodies. You MUST own a car and have a valid driver’s license.

~I am more than willing to work around your current schedule! If you have another job or are in school, this is a perfect opportunity for you.

Qualifications:

~College degree preferred

~Graphic Design background a HUGE plus (you know how to put together pretty mood boards for our brides!)

~You are sweet, and kind and are seriously drama free. That’s how we like it around here.

~You are responsible and excited about joining a New Orleans small but growing business.

~You are ORGANIZED. Your closet is color coordinated, and your spice rack is alphabetized. (or something along these lines)

~You are handy. I spend a lot of time fixing broken inventory, painting, sanding, glueing etc. It would be a huge help if you were good at these things too!
