vintage traveling circus themed wedding

Every Mrs. Vintage wedding is dear to me, but this wedding in particular holds a special place in my heart. Besides the fact that the couple, Natalie and Spencer, are adorable and a total joy to work with, this wedding just so happened to be one of our very first BIG Mrs. Vintage weddings! We had done smaller events and weddings, but never had we styled and rented out so many pieces. Thankfully, the bride and Meredith (of Belle Soiree Wedding Planning) trusted us to give vintage tips and guidance throughout the planning process, as well as execute the vintage styling on her big day.

The wedding ceremony took place in Jackson Square in front of the St. Louis Cathedral, and the reception was held in the courtyard of the Hermann-Grima house. The theme of the wedding was a vintage traveling circus (think Water for Elephants) and the couple pulled it off flawlessly. From the sweet striped flower girl to the black and red striped invitation suite, no detail was overlooked. Here are the beautiful photos taken by the bride’s sister (the whole family is talented!) Shannon Kaeding. Enjoy!

Aqua leg pedestal table, swan chair, ava tufted sofa, blue trunk as coffee table and books!

I used randomly placed doilies to add a touch of softness.

This is one of my favorite photos of the day. The gown hanging on the French Quarter balcony is timeless.

Best ‘first look’ ever? What do you think?

The stunning St. Louis Cathedral.

See what I was saying? Isn’t she the sweetest little striped flower girl you’ve ever seen!?

We displayed their invitation suite in the Underwood typewriter.

striped straws!

the brick courtyard at the Hermann-Grima house is so vintage and romantic.

  2. I’m absolutely obsessed with the concept for this wedding and it looks like the pulled it off with flying colors. The parasols were a perfect touch… not to mention the old-world globe and books. Love it!!
