I have to say, picking out my wedding gown was one of my favorite parts of wedding planning. Rifling through rows and rows of gorgeous silk and intricate lace was a dream come true for this textile lover. And then getting to choose my favorites to try on, all while drinking champagne and lounging with my besties!? Oh, I was in heaven. That got me thinking about the tradition of the bride wearing her mother’s wedding gown and vintage gowns in general. I love the sentiment of a vintage gown, and it’s true that some trends never go out of style (although I think it’s safe to say, none of the ‘timeless’ gowns came out of the 80’s). Here are a few of my favorite Etsy vintage and vintage inspired gowns. I think they are gorgeous, and starting at just $150, I can totally see why one would choose vintage!
