wedding registry I.Q.- Heath Ceramics

It took me FOREVER to register for our wedding, it’s not as simple as one might think. It’s no virtual shopping spree, that’s for sure. I wanted to make thoughtful decisions on what to place on the registry, hitting different price points, and above all, making sure the items I selected were of the highest quality. I know I was born into the easy-come-easy-go, instant gratification generation, but I could not feel more strongly against using something for a few months and then throwing it away. Perhaps this is why I’ve alway gravitated towards antiques, the quality and craftsmanship that goes into each piece well surpasses the  quality of furniture mass produced today.

Heath Ceramics has been producing high quality ‘everyday’ dinnerware for decades. Their pieces are still all handmade in Sausalito, California (just a few miles away from San Francisco, and the town I grew up in- Petaluma). World renowned chefs and restaurants such as, Alice Waters of Chez Panisse, rely on the durability and simple beauty of Heath Ceramics. By registering for something as classic as Heath Ceramics, I know my everyday dinnerware will never go out of style, and always be replaceable in the event of an unfortunate break/crack/chip.

Can’t wait for these beauties to grace my dinner table soon! ~Julia
